Sweet Sam's

Hi, my name is Sam and I am the owner of Sweet Sam's. I started this business because I wanted to share my passion for making food, whether it's baking or cooking, and in middle school I learned how food really can bring people together and it was cool seeing friends and classmates of mine enjoying the desserts I made. And one day a close friend of mine told me that my cookies were good enough to sell, and so I did and that became my first micro-business and it was awesome. I thought it was so cool because I was now getting paid for doing something I already loved to do. It also taught me a lot on how to sell to people and get out of my comfort zone because a lot of the time people I had never met before would come up to me and say that they saw one of their friends trying my dessert and they wanted one, and it was really fun to meet new people and make new friends, which I did a lot over the course of middle school to now sophomore year. And I asked myself why not take the next step and make it an official business, and so I got to work filing the papers and making a plan. I hope to start selling at farmers' markets by July.
